Who Is Scott Harpole?

Scott Harpole has spent decades telling stories—first to his four children, and now to his four grandchildren. A lifelong student of the Word and the son of a country pastor, he draws on that deep love for God’s Word to craft narratives that bring ancient Bible stories to life in fresh, personal ways.
The Narrative Collection reimagines biblical characters from a first-person perspective, followed by practical commentary and teaching that connects timeless truths to everyday Christian life.
Along with book three of The Narrative Collection, ‘One Small Request’ (underway), Scott continues working on his children’s picture book, ‘Sleepy Beach’, and a YA fiction series titled ‘Cloud Walkers’.
Born and raised in the Midwest (with a brief chapter in New England), Scott lives there still as a husband, father to a grown family, and grandfather. His grounded perspective and buoyant optimism turn ordinary days into opportunities for wonder and reflection. Scott and his wife Jenn abide with their blue Great Dane Bentley.
